Beginning the Journey

Would you like to have your child baptized at Sacred Heart? We would be so honored to provide this opportunity for you and your family, and we hope it will be the beginning of many sacraments for your child here.

CELEBRATING TOGETHER

Infant baptisms at Sacred Heart are celebrated in groups on one Saturday morning each month in the Church.

STEP 1

FILL OUT CHILD REGISTRATION FORM AND SIGN UP FOR BAPTISM PREPARATION COURSE

The Baptism Preparation Course consists of one class.

The Parent Formation Class typically takes place one Saturday each month at Sacred Heart from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Immaculate Heart Room.

Baptism Preparation Course must be completed every three years.

STEP 2

REGISTRATION AND DOCUMENTS SUBMISSION

You will need to provide information about your baby, family, and godparents. This information can be submitted by email to re@sacredheart-lg.org or by dropping it off at the office.

The only document that can be submitted separately after scheduling your Baptism is the birth certificate. However, this copy of the birth certificate must be submitted before the baptism date. We can only issue the baptism certificate once we have received an official copy of your baby’s birth certificate.

STEP 3

SCHEDULE THE BAPTISM DATE

Once you have attended the Parent Formation Class and submitted all the required documents you can schedule the date for the baptism.
